Air duct cleaning service cleans the supply, intake, and return ducts of standard household HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). You probably know it as your central air system. Other parts that should be cleaned during a standard duct cleaning include fans, motors, heat exchangers, grills, registers, housing units, and the coils of the HVAC system.

Most homeowners never pay any attention to their dryer vent. It’s kind of an out of sight out of mind aspect of their home care. More often than not, they don’t notice a problem until their laundry isn’t drying as quickly as it used to. Unfortunately, a lack of maintenance can lead to tragedy. Every year in the U.S., blocked vents and dryer fires lead to the loss of lives and millions of dollars in property damage. Fixing — or better yet, avoiding — the problem requires powerful equipment to handle air flow restrictions. After your dryer vent cleaning, your dryer will be more cost-efficient, drying clothes more quickly even at a lower heat.

Remember; think about your air system as the lungs of your home. Then consider the type of company that you want to handle your home’s lungs and your indoor air quality within your home. Have the complete air system periodically inspected for contaminated duct work and have it properly maintained so your Heating and Air System can provide your family with good air quality for years to come. Qualified air duct cleaners will follow strict standards set by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association. Allowing an unqualified contractor to clean your ducts could be worse than not having them cleaned at all. More particles could be broken up and released into your home or your HVAC system could be damaged.

There is some disagreement within the industry about the best method for cleaning air ducts.  The two schools of thought are the “negative air” approach and the rotary brush and vacuum approach.  We believe that both air duct cleaning methods can achieve great results in most situations when performed properly by competent technicians.  However, our focus has always been on high quality residential service.  The type of residential duct work commonly used in homes in the South poses unique challenges to duct cleaners because it is soft, flexible, and does not go in straight lines.  Firms using the negative air approach are especially challenged by this type of duct work, as that process was originally designed to work well on the rigid metal duct work commonly found in the North and in large commercial buildings.  The tools used to agitate the duct work in negative air cleaning are very difficult to get all the way into your duct work and can damage the lining of the ducts we find in most residences in the greater Jacksonville area.

"I was very pleased with the professional service I received. Despite the engineering challenges and heat, your team did a great job with installation and maintained a professional attitude through the 12-hour ordeal. I will not hesitate to recommend Waychoff's to our friends and neighbors. So far, we are very satisfied with the system and the results."
A comprehensive duct cleaning takes between 3-5 hours, depending upon the size of your house (and much longer for commercial applications). Most companies, especially the ones that have a price that seems to be “to good to be true”, are in and out of your house in less than an hour and may try to upsell you based on “mold” they allegedly find in your air handler.
Make sure that the company has the proper equipment and enough HEPA filtered vacuum power (2,000 CFMs or more), to properly clean your air ducts. Be weary of companies that use small vacuum units that have a small rotating brush on the end of a small vacuum hose with a typical airflow of 150 to 300 cfm or less. Proper air duct cleaning vacuums are negative air machines with 2,000 CFMs have 8 inch to 14 inch or larger, vacuum hoses to capture large quantities of dust and debris.
Okay let me start by saying I went to Abaco air solely off of their Google reviews thinking that they're a trustworthy company. I called them out just to service my AC that was working fine but just wanted to make sure everything was good and clean before the hot summer and to give me correct measurements on the air filter I need for my AC unit which is an odd size. I paid a service fee then and he said everything was good except for a little dirt on the coil but nothing that had to be done right away. Soon after my AC was serviced the AC unit started acting up and wasn't cooling the house during the day. I contacted them a couple days later and they told me they've been having a lot of calls like this and that it's probably just because it's really hot and to just give it time. I said okay I'll call back in a couple days. I've called several times and they said to check this check that and I did everything they said and still continue to not cool down the house. So finally I get somebody back out today and they said the AC unit was froze up and that it was filthy dirty and needed to be clean and the freon need to be charged so not only did I have to pay another service fee I had to pay $350 to clean it $250 for Freon and $100 service fee mind you I just paid a service fee three weeks prior of $120. I feel like had it been serviced the first time correctly I wouldn't have had to pay the $250 freon and another $100 service fee not to mention my electricity bill is going to be extremely high because the AC has been running nonstop trying to cool the house down. I'm trying to do all this from a hospital that I've been in for the past seven weeks so I go on Google to find a trustworthy company thinking I found one and then this happens. I have other children at home and I'll be bringing my husband home from the hospital soon so I have to make sure that the house is cool. I had no choice but to pay it. I will never use Abaco again and will tell all my friends to stay clear of them. When I contacted them about what's happened all I get is it must have been a miscommunication. Well that miscommunication cost me well over $400 more then what I should've had to pay to begin with. I paid $120 the first time they came out and $695 today. That's a lot of money for somebody that hasn't worked in seven weeks and will be out for another 30 days and my husband hasn't work because he's in the hospital from a motorcycle accident and won't be able to work again for a long time if ever. I'm not trying to get the job done free but feel like I could've avoided the additional costs had it been done right the first time. It kinda makes me think they did something the first time to have to come back and charge me a ridiculous amount to fix it because they know people need their AC right now as hot as it is outside. Lesson learned I will never use Abaco again.
If moisture is present in your air conditioning system, there is greater potential for growth of mold and the subsequent release of spores, which can cause allergic reactions and other symptoms. That’s why it’s so important to have your ducts cleaned properly by professionals. Overlooking a component in a contaminated system can result in recontamination and the return of air quality problems.
Fantastic service! Eric came out to conduct scheduled maintenance on my AC unit this afternoon. He was extremely thorough, honest, and candid. I appreciated his patience in explaining things in detail and giving me tips on things I could do myself to extend the life of my unit. Waychoff's pricing is fair, but their service is extra-ordinary- honest and trustful.5 Stars! Highly recommend.

Once we have cleaned your entire air duct system, our job is not finished.  All of your vent covers are washed, and before they are replaced we sanitize your system with EnviroCON antimicrobial fogger.  This EPA registered disinfectant is commonly used in hospitals and nursing homes, and works to eliminate mildew and mold in your air ducts.  And, lastly, everything in your home is left exactly as we found it, with no mess left behind!
