Business Description: Scott Air of Florida is a local, family-owned and operated company. Our goal is to create indoor climate solutions so that our customers can enjoy total indoor comfort both in their homes and places of business. Our people and facilities, together with the best manufacturers in the industry, offer you heating and air conditioning systems, maintenance, and service that we believe is unequaled in Northeast Florida. Our installation and service personnel are highly trained in every aspect from home or business installation, efficiency and service and are up to date on the latest in technology including Eco-friendly or (GREEN) products. We think this speaks well for the professionalism and integrity of a family-owned company. Perhaps the best way to say it is the simplest: We're proud that our family name is on the door!
I could not be happier with the service I received from Jason Hester. He was a consummate professional and thoroughly explained the issues I had with my AC unit. I never felt I was being sold on any service. I have used other AC companies in the past, but will now call Waychoff's AC for all my future needs. If you are looking for an AC company, look no further and you will be more than pleased with the service you receive.
They called to confirm the day before they were scheduled to arrive. They arrived when they said they would. Mark was very professional and answered all of our questions when we were in the buying phase. Beau and Justin were professional installers. They were kind, conscientious of our property and the job they had to do. They worked efficiently and completed the job in a timely fashion. The two gentlemen that cleaned our duct work were professional as well, unfortunately I can remember their names. I would recommend Snyder any day for your heating and AC needs. A little pricey for the unit, but worth it in no hassle and excellent customer service!

Jax Vents philosophy is to provide quality service at affordable rates. By having our dryer vent service done on a yearly basis as dryer manufacturers suggest, we can save our customers more in time and energy than our service costs. This gives our customers real benefits and value, with the convenience and security of knowing their dryer is operating efficiently. We believe that delinting your dryer vent regularly will greatly reduce the potential for fires that exists, help reduce energy consumption, minimize dryer damage, and give our customers greater peace of mind.
Keep in mind; consider your air system as the lungs of your house. Think about the type of business that you desire to manage your house’s lungs and your indoor air quality within your house. Have the total air system occasionally checked for polluted duct and have it correctly preserved so your Heating and Air System can offer your household with great air quality for many years to come. Certified duct cleaners will follow rigorous requirements set by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association. Enabling an unqualified service provider to clean your ducts could be even worse than not having them cleaned at all. More particles could be separated and launched into your house or your HVAC system could be harmed.
The amount of time air duct cleaning takes can depend on how extensive your duct system is, how old your air ducts are, and whether they have ever been cleaned. On average, expect a standard size home (between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet) to take 2-5 hours for one to two technicians to clean. Here are the proper protocol and equipment you should expect from a professional duct cleaning service, as recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency:
Q. Just bought an older house. When we turn on the whole house fan, even with lots of windows open, some air is still drawn through our vents. This causes severe alergy attacks for my wife. The previous owners never had the furnace serviced, weren't the cleanest people, and had several cats. I can only imagine how nast all of the air ducts are. I cleaned out a couple of the reurn ducts and they were nasty with dust and construction debris. I want to have the system cleaned out well. I've gotten several quotes that vary pretty greatly in cost $179-$450. We have a small home with a finished basement that also has heating ducts. I want to choose a service that will do a great job, but have heard that some do a much better job than others. How do I know what to look for, or ask for in a good air duct cleaning service?
"Energy is consumed by HVAC systems through a number of processes. Air is typically distributed through the ductwork via an electrically‐powered fan. Cooling coils remove heat from the air. Heating coils add heat to the air. Through normal HVAC usage, particulates in the air slowlycollects on the surfaces of various HVAC components, resulting in a gradual loss of energy efficiency. Some loss of efficiency via a single dirty component may be minor. When the loss through each component is added up, however, the impact could be considerable. Generally, the greater the buildup, the greater the energy loss. Removal of the buildup of particulate on HVAC components restores energy performance to the system."

"So My A.C. suddenly went belly up and I needed a total brand new unit inside and out. So a little background on myself. I'm an engineer, so I know a little bit about A.C. and how they work. I'm by no means an expert, but it does allow me to detect if the A.C. guy knows his stuff, especially if they don't know what I do. 😉 And I'm happy to say, these guys do. One of the things that helped me chose them is that they brought up the importance of controlling humidity. None of the other contractors I spoke to, mentioned that. I also appreciate the fact that he didn't try to "up sell" me and get me to buy things I didn't need. He was on time, honest and forth coming about what I needed and what I didn't. When the workers came, they were on time, very professional and very CLEAN. After they left, I couldn't tell they had been there. Highly recommended this service."
